Pianist Chelsea Randall, founder of the American Mavericks Project (AMP) dedicated to piano music by Black composers, presents a lecture-recital celebrating the next generation of young, talented female composers in honor of Women’s History Month. -
WQXR New Premiere
WQXR is once again partnering with the New York Philharmonic to showcase music written by fourteen extraordinary composers, all participants in the NYP's Very Young Composers program who are middle and high school students. The compositions are performed by the Parhelion Trio.

New York Youth Symphony 2023
The culminating event of New York Youth Symphony's 2022/23 season, “Composition Date 2023” will include sixteen world premieres, performed by members of the NYYS Orchestra, Chamber Music, Jazz, and Robert L. Poster Conducting programs, with direction by Dr. Kyle Blaha.

On the 25th anniversary of the New York Philharmonic Very Young Composers Program, we celebrate the power of children’s imaginations and showcase their captivating ideas. The Orchestra will perform works created by participants in Very Young Programs based in New York City, Finland, Israel, and Shanghai, as well as by Jon Deak, the program’s founder and director who hosts the concert.

New Work Premiere by Hotel Elefant at New York Philharmonic Family Day
The NY Philharmonic and Lincoln Center are celebrating the re-opening of the newly renovated David Geffen Hall by throwing a Family Day filled with events on Sunday, October 30th from 10am-6pm. Lincoln Center has been collaborating with NYP Education to craft a day-long festival-type experience themed around the idea of "Home".

Opera Italiana Concert at Central Park
The concert, presented by Italian conductor Alvise Casellati, will include sopranos Dísella Làrusdóttir and Caitlin Gotimer and will feature two participants in the New York Philharmonic's Very Young Composers program, 14-year-old singer Paloma Dineli Chesky and 15-year-old composer Jordan Millar.
